According to Italian source La Repubblica, Arsenal is expected to begin talks with Juventus player Dejan Kulusevski in the forthcoming transfer window (via the Mirror).
Arsenal appeared to have recovered from a shaky start to the season, advancing to fifth place in the table. The Gunners, on the other hand, have been dealt a harsh reality check after losing to Liverpool, Manchester United, and Everton. Despite investing around £140 million in the summer, Arsenal's rebuilding under Mikel Arteta appears to be far from complete.
The Gunners are reportedly eyeing a January move for Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski, according to the aforementioned source. Arsenal is willing to pay £25 million in addition to £4 million in bonuses. Juventus, on the other hand, is expected to seek a fee of around £34 million. Juventus' Dejan Kulusevski has had a poor start to the 2021-22 season. For the Old Lady, the 21-year-old winger has yet to score in Serie A. Kulusevski has only scored once and assisted twice in 19 appearances for Juventus in all competitions thus far.
According to the Mirror, Kulusevski's future at the Allianz Stadium is unknown, with Arsenal being one of the few choices available to the 21-year-old winger. The Gunners are ready to send a delegation to Italy to meet with Juventus officials about a potential transfer. Arsenal has had a string of poor offensive outings. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe, and Alexandre Lacazette have all struggled in the league to establish consistent form.
Despite having both Aubameyang and Pepe on the bench, Mikel Arteta called on Eddie Nketiah to play on the flanks against Everton. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger addressed the issue, saying (via the Mirror): "Because today I've decided to play Eddie. To entice him. In 25 minutes, I believe he produced three opportunities and struck the post once."
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's start to the season has been a letdown. Arsenal's captain has only four league goals to his name, while Alexandre Lacazette has only one. To score goals, the Gunners have had to rely on teenagers like Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, and Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal are in desperate need of some front-line reinforcements. Apart from Dejan Kulusevski, Noa Lang of Club Brugge has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
